Biography
Dr. Walid is a Professor of Pediatrics at Michigan State University-USA, Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics at the United Arab Emirates University and a visiting professor of Pediatrics at the Hashemite University- Jordan. A former president for the national Arab medical Association (NAAMA), Michigan Chapter, USA Dr. Abuhammour graduated from the Jordan University- School of Medicine. He is a fellow of the American academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as well as Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA). In addition he is a member of several international medical associations. Dr. Abuhammour is American Board-certified in both pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases. Also. Has the Board certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC). Dr. Abuhammour has earned his MBA with focus on health care management from Oakland University (USA). Dr. Abuhammour serves as an editor and a reviewer for many peer- reviewed medical journals. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. In additions, Dr. Abuhammour wrote several chapters in pediatric infectious diseases. Dr. Abuhammour is a recognized speaker in the field of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. Dr. Abuhammour has been recognized and earned many prestigious awards for his contribution to the field of pediatric infectious diseases from medical associations and organizations. Dr. Walid is elected several times as a best doctor in USA in the field of pediatric infectious diseases, Strathmore’s Who’s Who (Leadership and Dedication), America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals, Recognition and appreciation.
