Bacteriology and Virology

Bacteriology is the branch of microbiology that deals with the morphology, ecology, molecular biology, genetics and biochemistry of bacteria as well as identification, classification, and characterization of bacterial species. Bacteriology is the study of bacteria and their interaction to medicine. Virology is that the scientific study of viruses – sub microscopic, parasitic organisms of genetic material contained in a very super molecule coat – and virus-like agents.
